The integration of AI into surgery is not only enhancing precision and efficiency but also reshaping the way medical professionals approach diagnosis, planning, and treatment. In this era of convergence between human expertise and machine intelligence, this exploration will delve into the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the practice of surgery, examining its applications, benefits, challenges, and the ethical considerations that accompany this groundbreaking fusion of medicine and technology. Robotic surgery, an innovative branch of AI, advancing minimally invasive surgery, combines the skill of surgeons with the precision and flexibility of robotic systems. It allows surgeons to perform complex procedures through small incisions, utilizing robotic arms controlled by the surgeon from a console. This approach minimizes tissue damage, reduces scarring, and shortens hospital stays, all of which are particularly significant in the context of cancer treatment .

On behalf of the Conference Organizing & Scientific Committees, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the "Powering the Future of Cancer Care: Intersection of AI, Surgery, and Robotics" conference. This prestigious event will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman, Jordan, on November 15-16, 2024, under the esteemed patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal.
This gathering provides an exceptional opportunity to share new experiences, exchange information, and stay updated on the latest advancements in cancer care through the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Surgery, and Robotics. Our aim is to enhance patient care, improve surgical oncology services, and meet international standards while fostering collaboration with peers worldwide.
We have prepared a rich two-day scientific program where diverse topics and approaches will be discussed by over 25 distinguished speakers. Key areas of focus will include the transformative impact of AI in surgery, the advancements in robotic surgical techniques, and the integration of these technologies to improve patient outcomes. Interactive workshops, practical tutorials, and insightful research presentations will enrich your knowledge and skills.
Additionally, we have designed a special Nursing Day to highlight and enhance the significant role of nursing in patient care. This dedicated day will explore the role of AI in nursing care, examining how AI can support nurses in their critical functions, improve patient monitoring, optimize care plans, and reduce the burden of administrative tasks, thereby allowing more time for direct patient care.
Jordan, known for its stability and safety in the Arab world, offers a unique cultural experience. Amman, with its blend of modern infrastructure and historical richness, provides an ideal backdrop for this conference.
