King Hussein Cancer Research Conference 2022

On behalf of the conference organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the “King Hussein Cancer Research Conference 2022”.

Sharp increase in cancer incidence and mortality is projected to occur in the coming two decades with disparities in survivorship, quality of life and financial toxicity from cancer in lower resource countries. With that comes the critical need to invest in biomedical research to better understand this complex disease and optimize treatment strategies. Building sustainable collaborations and joining forces for creating future shared infrastructure for cancer research and information exchange are among the goals that we hope this scientific gathering will foster, and to create a platform to showcase cutting-edge research projects and initiatives that fuel our pursuit to improve patient care, survival and quality of life.

We are honored to host an excellent caliber of international speakers and oncology experts, who will shed light on the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Original unpublished research conducted by researchers from KHCC, Jordan, and the region will be presented. In addition to continued work on breast, lung, GI cancers and hematologic malignancies; major disease burdens in Jordan and the region, there will be a focus on applied genomics, precision medicine, immuno-oncology and information technology.

The conference is directed to physicians, nurses, and pharmacists working in the different fields of oncology. We look forward to your contribution and hope you find this meeting an enriching and rewarding experience,
