Promising Researcher Grant
Dr. Hadeel Halalsheh is a consultant pediatric hematologist/oncologist at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Amman, Jordan. She earned her Medical Degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
In 2017, Dr. Halalsheh had the opportunity to expand her knowledge and experience by serving as a pediatric solid tumor fellow at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, becoming the first pediatric oncologist in the Arab region officially trained in pediatric solid tumors. Her research interest focuses on cancer methylation and detecting minimal residual disease in pediatric solid tumors
Upon her return to KHCC, she has taken on an active role as an associate member within the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department, where she leads the solid tumor service. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Halalsheh is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring. She serves as the program director for the Pediatric Residency Program at KHCC and fulfills the role of a clinical educator at the University of Jordan.
